True Friendship Beyond Family by David Bancroft While most of us have a loving, good relationship with one or more family members, true friendship might be a different matter. I am talking about the non-family type of relationship. In particular, it is about those individuals . . . - who would do almost anything (legal) for you
- who are willing to listen to your highs and lows without complaint
- who tell you when you are wrong
- who you would be proud to be related to by blood
- who you would dearly miss
Do you know anyone who fits the above? Can you honestly say this person would consider you similarly? And it is not about having to do the same or more for the other person! Moreover, only you can determine what true friendship is for yourself, which is what your friend must do too. Even personality type can sometimes cloud how one perceives a friendship, especially in terms of noticeable action. Confused? You should not be . . . as nothing has changed by reading these thoughts. You already have friends. Now, it is just up to you to acknowledge those who are really the true, lasting ones . . . And nothing like the holiday season to do so!
