Hoping For The Best In 2003 by David Bancroft I hope you and your loved ones had an enjoyable holiday season and have started 2003 on the right foot that allows you to reach the goals you have set to achieve by December 31, 2003. And with wishes and wants in mind . . . Where do the following fall on your list? - Fully recover from celebrating the birth of this new year . . . big ouch here!
- Losing all the weight gained over the holidays!
- The extra weight gained is not an unplanned little one!
- Returning all the unwanted gifts without any hassles!
- My pro football team making the Super Bowl!
- Dreading turning 30, 40, 50, or . . . hmmm . . . best to stop at 50!
- Finding a job you really would enjoy!
- Just finding a job to complain about!
- True bi-partisanship occurring in Congress and in state legislatures!
- No more attacks by any terrorist group!
- Saddam or someone around him does the right thing and war is not necessary!
- Leaders of North Korea do the right thing and place their citizens first!
- Pakistan and India resolve the Kashmir issue peacefully!
- The Israeli / Palestinian issue is finally resolved!
- No child goes unloved and hungry!
- No child grows up to hate for any reason!
I know there are many more well intentioned thoughts that can be listed above. However, in many ways, it really comes down to children . . . and how they are nurtured or manipulated through the stages of their lives to adulthood.
