Indian Software Exporters To Turn To Chinese Market? Terrorists attack on the US, on September 11th, not only affected the US economy, but the economies of many other countries as well. Though the attacks have been predicted to negatively impact the World Economy, India is not likely to suffer as great an impact, as the Indian economy has retained a considerable degree of self-reliance as India has cautiously opened its doors to free trade with a number of other developed countries. Nonetheless, it looks like the Asian markets are shifting considerably. Due to the recent man-made catastrophe in the US, the Indian software exporters are targeting China as the biggest chunk of the software export market. More than 62% of Indian software exporters are busy building corporate relationships with China. This does not mean that the Indian software exporters will cut off business with the US. This will not happen! India will only divert its market focus to China given the existing conditions. This situation will likely last until the US, and much of the world economy, gets back to normal. The spokesman for the Technology and IT exports Organization of India said that China is a well known, potential market; traders all over the globe have, in fact, benefited from the trade market in China. He further stated that, although the China's market is good for technological projects, it could be equally bad for the computer hardware market. The government of China is well aware of India's technological growth. This is the reason that China is eager to promote trade with India; China naturally is seeking to benefit China in terms of corporate and market development. Let's hope that, "all's well that ends well," following the recent shifts in trade between these three nations; development of information technologies remains in the best interest of all human beings.
