Terror From The Sky, Giant Sleeps No More!

Award Sites! Forum Visitor Speaks Out Against Terrorism
From Míc Miller

The Award Sites! Forum is unusually quiet today. A few people made posts about their sadness, a few gave condolences and a few stated they were taking their websites offline for a period of mourning. One of the regulars, Mic Miller of the Beeline had this to say:

"Today, September 11, 2001, was by far the darkest day of this young millennium; not only for America, but for the rest of the free world as well. Never before has civilization and democracy been so attacked with such utter cowardice. Most of the world's leaders realize what has transpired today and, appropriately, responded in their ways to say this was a desperate act of barbarism by a few who choose to impose their purview through such horrific acts of death and maiming.

To the hundreds of thousands of victims who are directly and indirectly affected, my heartfelt sympathies and condolences go to you. You have paid, and will continue to pay for the rest of your lives, a price the rest of us can never realize nor honestly imagine.

My greatest fear now is that our world's sense of security will never be the same again. Perhaps this was necessary for we face many enemies in our future and they are not as foreign as we might wish to believe. On the other hand, one should not confuse foolishness with ruthlessness.

I pray that we will all maintain our composure, learn the truths in time, and, someday, find justice for today's victims. There should be little salvation or redemption for those who caused, or helped to cause, today's and tomorrow's sufferings. It is time to evolve beyond our species' darker nature, once and for all.

Tomorrow would be a good day to have a "black page" on our Web sites' entry pages in memory of everything we, as a world, lost today.

Míc Miller"
